For the Call for Fairs 2023, the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce has earmarked an amount of €250,000 as support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the province of Bergamo that intend to invest in participating in sectoral or trade fair events to be held between the June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024.
How the Call for Fairs 2023 works
With this announcement, Bergamo supports the competitiveness and recovery of the exhibition system by supporting the promotion of events, the development of internationalization and the digitization of services offered.
The facilitation offered by this announcement consists of a non-repayable grant equal to 50 percent of the expenses deemed eligible.
Expenses incurred for direct participation in:
- fairs with regional recognition held in Lombardy, for which there is a maximum contribution of € 2,000;
- fairs with national recognition held in Italy, with a maximum contribution of € 3,500;
- fairs with international recognition held in Italy, excluding those in Lombardy, for which there is a maximum contribution of €5,000.
How to apply for the grant
From Monday, September 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., until Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., it will be possible to submit electronically the application for the Call for Trade Fairs related to the second window, i.e., for trade fairs with a start date between Between December 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024.
The start date of the event will be the only relevant criterion, and each company may submit only one application, referring to only one exhibition event.
Invoices must be paid in full by the date of submission of the reporting file, i.e., within 30 days after the conclusion of the fair, but no later than June 30, 2024.
The Chamber of Commerce will disburse the contribution net of the 4% withholding tax. For the second participation window, the contribution payment is due by September 2, 2024.
